The Beauty Signal
Clean beauty, decoded.

A beauty intelligence platform tracking emerging brands, ingredient trends, founder dossiers, retail signals, and the future of clean beauty. Built as a serious editorial product, not a blog, with weekly briefings, signal categories, and a writer-driven taxonomy.
- Editorial CMS & taxonomy
- Daily briefing system
- Signal categorization (Retail, Trend, Ingredient, Founder)
- Author profiles & bylines
- Newsletter funnel & subscription
- Long-form reading experience
The brief
The Beauty Signal needed to read like a trade publication, not a content site. Every signal, whether a Walmart pilot expansion, a K-beauty retail shift, or an ingredient breakthrough, had to land with the weight of a real editorial product. The platform had to make readers feel they were reading the brief that buyers, founders, and investors actually pay for.
Editorial system
We built a taxonomy that maps the way the editors actually think: signals by type (Retail, Trend, Ingredient, Founder), by momentum (Accelerating, Mainstream, Emerging), and by author. Each signal carries its own metadata so the homepage, briefing emails, and archive surfaces stay coherent as the volume scales.
Reading & subscription
The long-form layout is tuned for sustained reading: generous measure, restrained color, and a quiet sidebar for signal metadata. The newsletter funnel is woven into the reading flow rather than bolted on, converting first-time readers into the daily briefing audience.

A platform that publishes daily, scales editorially, and feels like it belongs on the desk of every beauty buyer.
